Responsible AI

AI should support you, not influence you. These are the rules we build by.

People bring real problems to NUE, so we hold it to a high standard. Everything we make follows the principles below, grounded in behavioral science and ethical design.

  • Transparency

You should know how your AI works. We tell you what it does, how it uses your data and where its limits are.

  • Safety

We design to minimize harm and avoid manipulative patterns, using behavioral science to protect your emotional health.

  • User control

Your data, your choices. You get clear consent, settings you control and technology that respects your autonomy every step of the way.

  • Privacy at work

When a company offers NUE to its team, it sees anonymized totals. It never sees what anyone says.

  • Clinical oversight

Experts in psychology, school mental health and addiction recovery check that what we build is clinically sound.

  • A first in Utah

Utah’s AI policy office signed its first regulatory mitigation agreement with ElizaChat.

What it looks like in NUE

A conversation from the NUE app, with notes on what it’s doing and why.

Talk it throughPrivate
  1. I had that conversation with my sister I was worried about. It went better than I expected.

  2. That’s really great to hear. Last time you mentioned feeling anxious about bringing up boundaries with her. How did it feel to actually say what you needed?

    • 1Follows up. Remembers what you’re working on.
    • 2Supports, doesn’t steer. Asks how it felt instead of telling you what to think.
  3. Honestly, really good. I was nervous but she was receptive

  4. That’s huge. You were nervous, still showed up, and named your boundaries, and she actually met you there. What boundary are you most proud of?

    • 3Grounded in behavioral science. Names the effort you made, so the habit sticks.

Private by design. Employers see team-level use, never this conversation.
