Privacy and data

People bring real things to NUE. Here’s what happens to what they share, in plain words.

NUE is the mental fitness app made by ElizaChat. This page sums up NUE’s privacy policy, its terms and its business page. You can read both in full at talkwithnue.com/privacy and talkwithnue.com/terms.

NUE isn’t therapy and doesn’t replace professional care.

What an employer can and can’t see

When a company offers NUE to its team, it sees anonymized totals: participation, engagement trends and which pillars the team uses most. It never sees a conversation, a name tied to an activity, or anyone’s personal content.

What NUE collects

  • The account details a person gives
  • Their conversations with the app
  • An emergency contact, only if they choose to add one
  • Device and usage information, such as IP address, device and browser details, cookie and other identifiers, internet provider, approximate and precise location, and how the app is used

Who processes it

NUE doesn’t sell personal information and doesn’t use it for advertising or marketing.

It shares data with the providers that run the service, such as cloud hosting, analytics and text messaging through Twilio, and the AI providers behind its AI features. Today those may include OpenAI, Google and Anthropic. What reaches them can include text entries, voice transcripts, prompts and attachments. Providers may process data only for the job NUE hires them to do.

NUE may also disclose information when the law, legal process or a reporting obligation requires it.

How it’s protected

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. NUE runs on secure servers with regular security assessments, and only people who need access have it.

Keeping and deleting it

NUE generally keeps a person’s data while their account is active. Anyone can delete their account at any time, in the app or on the website.

After that, their personal information is deleted or de-identified from active systems within 30 days, and encrypted backups clear within 90 days. Limited information can be kept longer where reasonably necessary to comply with the law, respond to legal process, prevent fraud or abuse, protect security, resolve disputes or enforce its agreements.

Each person’s rights

Every user can ask to see, correct or delete their data, subject to the exceptions above, in the app or by emailing contact@talkwithnue.com.

NUE is for people 13 and older. For anyone under the age of majority, a parent or guardian accepts the terms on their behalf.

Safety

NUE surfaces crisis resources when someone needs them, but it isn’t for emergencies. Anyone in an emergency should call 911.

A person can name an emergency contact. That contact gets a text in a rare emergency, and only if they’ve opted in.
